State Of Reality

If you follow me on social media you know that I have been M.I.A. from the blog the last couple of weeks because I’ve been in M.I.A….M.I!! MIAMI – for my annual holiday vacations with my family!!.. It was such a great time, really, honestly, truly had such a blast and am happy to be coming back home with many new memories, and more importantly new friends that I get to journey into 2017 with… I chose the picture above because it basically sums up my state of reality that I have been living in the last couple of weeks.. Almost like a dream world.. But can I say.. I haven’t been this ready to take on a new chapter, being a new year, in a very long time.. I feel a sense of new found hunger to achieve even more goals this year… Although I may have more burdens in 2017 I know that with the right amount of hard work, passion and strategy those burdens become blessings that help propel me to new heights this year!! I am so excited to see what this year has in store for me, for you and for everyone else in between… LET’S GO 2017!!!! xoxoxo

A Fashionable Way To Travel: Amex’s Fixed Point Travel Program

Oh the holidays!!!! Not only the time of joy, Christmas lights, (a new favourite) mulled wine and whatever else may cometh as the days draw closer to jolly old Christmas…. BUT.. Also… That time of the year when it becomes so unbearably cold here in Canada that the sudden urge to book last minute and random flights to.. I don’t know.. Let’s say.. Miami!? It seems to happen much more frequently and aggressively than normal!! AND… It’s those days, like today where I look outside my window to a grey, cold sky knowing that only a couple hours and something minutes away is a beach, a margarita and an entire city waiting for me to just frolic it up lol!!! But it’s also SUPER annoying because I have a curse where I always book things like this last minute and end up paying wrecked premiums on flights that were half the price only some weeks before!!

This year, I feel slightly more inclined than ever to pursue my travel urges and just literally go with it.. Care to know why!?!?.. Well… I guess if you’ve read this far you clearly are going to find out haha!! This year, hesitation finds itself dissolving into thin air as I learn more and more about all the perks of being an American Express Cardmember!!! First and foremost definitely has to be the new Fixed Points Travel Program – This new program literally has FIXED point redemption rates so I do not have to worry about flying at peak times – WHICH basically means, I won’t have to worry about when I book!! I JUST GOTTA BOOK!!! AND if I am feeling fancy, I can even book Business class with this program which really means there are no borders to how free I can feel when I fly!!

Then the tricky part!!! Finding the perfect place to rest my head come nightfall and planning SO LAST MINUTE!! I am so picky when it comes to hotels when I travel. They need to be chic, clean, pose an opportunity for a good instagram backdrop for a big ol’ chunk of my content and be somewhat economical!! AND THEN the annoying thing is trying to book reso’s at my favorite hot spots in Miami especially during a busy time like Art Basel!!

That all being said, I definitely think it’s time for me to stop the yammering and look into booking considering I only actually got a couple weeks left!! Thankfully with this new program I can even book flights with a fixed point redemption rate over the holidays, so no worrying about fare hikes! Getting Into The Glam

SO if you’ve been following me on insta and snapchat the last few months you will maybe have noticed that I have been realllllly, seriously, getting more and more into make-up!! I mean, it’s always been around and something that I have enjoyed but today I can confidently say that I am now #OBSESSSSSEEEDDDDDD!!!!!.. The last couple of months I’ve been really learning how to not only just wear make-up for a quick fix but how to seriously utilize it and really make things pop, flawless and beautyousssssssss!!!! TO BE HONEST… To this day, when I do my make-up I don’t really know what I am doing, outside applying the basics like foundation and concealer!! I really just have been going with the flow and trying out whatever I got however I think works and this look is no exception!! I used blush as eyeshadow on the eye-lid and under the lower lash-line!!.. I layer my lipsticks… I use bronzer as contour with a kabuki brush!! I just literally… GO with it!!! That being said, I am excited to continue to learn more and more about how to use different products, brushes and what brands really excel for what!! Alec Monopoly + Tag Heur @ Art Basel 2016 = Mondrian Miami

This past Art Basel, Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Watch Division, announced the appointment of super cool American artist Alec Monopoly as Art Provocateur for the brand… That being said… One thing I am exciting about post-Art-Basel-2016 is that when I get back to Miami in a couple weeks for holidays there is going to be this super iconic 50 foot wall tag by Alec Monopoly at the Mondrian Miami a.k.a the hotel y’all know (if you’ve been following) my family (cousins/aunts/uncles/parents/etc.) all have been staying at the last 10 or so years since it’s opened!!! Speed, Power, Exciting Features, Seamless Design; The new Apple iPhone 7+

IT’s been a couple months now since I got my iPhone 7+ and after now really utilizing it and it basically becoming an extension of me, I am confident and ready to share a couple of favourite things about it! First impressions obviously had me at Hello… The overall aesthetic of the Jet Black were very captivating.. It’s a sexy, sleek and seamless shell with a very alluring darkness to it.. I was torn between the matte black and the jet black but then JUST fell in love with the jet black when I saw it!!!

Of course, I went with the + size, because since going + I have never gone back and I also learnt that the + camera’s have better low light sensitivity which basically translates to better night time Instagram and Snapchat posts!!! Another plus of the overall build of the new device is the new sense of speed I feel while using the device.. Flipping between apps and windows has never been more seamless… Then there is battery life and that storage… Apple is REALLY putting me to the test with all 256 of the gigabytes that are available in the new iPhone’s, I really want to time how long I could go before using all the space (probably NEVER LOL!!).. No but in all honesty.. For someone who is one their phone 24/7 having THAT MUCH SPACE really brings a sense of relief because I don’t feel like I will ever have to be traumatized by the “STORAGE FULL” pop-up ever again (or at least for a very long long time!!!)

WITHOUT A DOUBT… One of my favourite features of the new iPhone 7+ but mainly a feature of the update (that of course is most easily compatible with the most up to date mainframe) has to be the new intelligence of the photo album… Being able to see memories from different places around the world and/or with certain people you are most photographed with are such a treat.. THE ICING ON THE CAKE!?!??! Being able to get as specific as to search specific cities, specific things like “jackets” “boots” etc.. It’s kinda freaky but freaky in all the right ways!

There are so many other fabulous features that are to be detailed and of course still to be discovered!! So of course, please stay tuned as I share more as I learn 🙂 XOJAY
