MENTHE x Le Chanel Trompe L’oeil Boy Bag

Bag – Chanel / Pants – Mugler / Boots – Dr. Martens / Coat – Just Cavalli

With Spring here but realistically not really ~I took it into my own hands to own the moment and channel some Spring vibes with a monochromatic mint-themed look. Naturally because this is out of my [all black everything] comfort zone I took it upon myself to balance the brightness with the military Just Cavalli coat that did the trick perfectly… ALSO.. Can we take a moment to pause and catch our breathe after being mesmerized by this Spring/Summer 2014 CHANEL Trompe L’oeil Boy Bag? Ain’t it just somethin’?.. It’s like other wordly ain’t it?? I am kinda obsessed to the point I have been practically sleeping with it… BUTT In further news please please please forgive me for the big lack of posting since getting back to Canada from Europe. As I always say/you can imagine the madness didn’t stop when I got back from travelling the last 3 months for men’s, haute-couture & women’s fashion weeks in America & Europe. Once I landed is was go go go as it was also Toronto Fashion Week here in the city and I was part of the very small team producing and executing the biggest, if not most important fashion show of the week. It was beyond anything I could of ever expected and really pushed me to all my limits, needless to say,I came, I saw, I twerked, I worked and long behold… I conquered and am really proud of everyone who was part of this journey, and I am pretty damn honored myself to of been able to be part of something so ground breaking in Toronto. Anyways I have some exciting and chic posts coming up in the next few days so stay tuned okay!? XOJAY

MUGLER Opening First Boutique

Carrying on the joyful moment in boutique openings. It’s just been announced that MUGLER will open the doors to its eponymous Milan shop in shop on Via Borgospesso 5, on June 25th, 2013. Designed by the MUGLER studio, the new boutique is set as part of IT’S 30 MANZONI, the first department store inaugurated by Ittierre, it can also be accessed through a separated entrance fronted by two windows. With over 90 sq meters, the boutique plays with the contrasts between the Gallarati Scotti palazzo’s original 18th century fresco and the futuristic metal elements, creating a modern space that incarnates the brand’s DNA. The shop in shop boutique will present the MUGLER women’s and men’s collections, as well as the handbag collection.

MUGLER Fall/Winter 2013

For the Mugler Fall/Winter 2013 collection, designers Nicola Formichetti and Sebastien Peigne explained that they “wanted to explore the idea of travel through time, in style,” a theme which was clearly evident down the dark runway of this seasons collection. The Fall/Winter collection for 2013-14 is filled with super modern futuristic shapes and silhouettes tied in quite cleverly with retro-vintage-esque details and pops of color and print, all tying into one another quite strikingly and definitely interestingly. The structure of the collection consisted of a very 60’s through 90s style featuring high-waist pants, hooded turtlenecks, patches of furs, fur with holes, high shine fabrics and classique over the knee skirts. The collection also seemed much more tamed this season compared to previous collections which may be a direction to a more commercial client?

MUGLER PRE-FALL 2013

With the ever so unpredictable weather of today’s dramatically changing climate it’s no surprise to start seeing equally unpredictable things in fashion. Pretty floral-esque details, rosette’s, color (lot’s of it, may I add) and lots and lots more skin have all been making their way in collections for the cooler seasons. Mugler, the fashion house who is consistent with serving serious unpreditable-ness stayed true to form and quite possibly took the perfect amount of cues from mother nature. It’s one of the warmest winters I think I’ve ever faced and I can say the same thing about this collection. It’s quite warm, textured and full of life. A treat to see from the usual dark Fall/Winter collections we have grown to know.

MUGLER’S BAGS

I love the scent of “IT BAG” status and that’s exactly what I smell with these new ‘Naboo’ & ‘Muglerette’ bags from Nicola Formichetti’s Spring/Summer 2013 runway collection for Mugler! I love how clean but how detailed they are.. Simple and to the point. The ‘Naboo’ (one on top) has to be my favorite. I love the shape and I believe there is a chain which makes it such a dope clutch/shoulder bag! I mean I would even rock it!
