A WEEKEND IN VEGAS WITH CIRQUE DU SOLEIL & MASTERCARD

I’ve always wondered what my ideal weekend getaway to Vegas would be like and now I definitely have to wonder no more! This past weekend I was asked by Mastercard to join them in Las Vegas at a truly Priceless Experience. In case you didn’t know, Priceless Cities are incredible experiences that only Mastercard cardholders have access to! Little did I know that this one was going to blow my expectations out of the water and be one of the most memorable getaway trips ever!

As you guys may remember, last November, I had the chance to attend the Cirque du Soleil headquarters in Montreal, where I got a detailed look into the inner workings of almost every detail that happens behind the scenes of a Cirque Du Soleil show!

Now over 2, 500 miles from where the story started, I am getting to see how it all comes together when the show is on the road, or in this case, in residency! For this Priceless Experience in VIVA LAS VEGAS not only did I get to catch the ultimate #OVIP experience getting to watch the ‘O’ show from our VIP suite, but I was able to head behind the scenes to see how all the talent and team gets ready before a huge sold out show creating the ultimate VIP experience that only Mastercard cardholders have access to!

21 years later since its first show, Cirque du Soleil has now hosted over 17, 000, 000 guests (including Jennifer Lopez and Brad Pitt) at over 10, 000 shows worldwide. Having had the opportunity to check out the celebrity wall, it’s safe to say that the ‘O’ show is a celebrity favourite in Vegas! Getting to walk around the famous ‘O’ theatre with the space all to ourselves really took a few minutes to hit me! I even had to say “wow” out loud when I realized that this experience was all for me! It was something so priceless to take in!

From Toronto to Las Vegas with @ExpediaCa #VegasYou

I can’t believe it’s already been some weeks and some days since my trip to Vegas with Expedia and two of my faves Christian & Vanessa!!! It’s funny because If you follow me on social media, you know that I have been to Vegas a couple times in the past and had nice times… But not like this! This was definitely and undeniably… ONE FOR THE BOOKS!!.. This time around I had the pleasure of being invited by Expedia Canada to have and create a #VegasYou experience!! What is Vegas You, you ask? It’s basically a new online destination where YOU can find all things Vegas that fit YOU and YOUR needs! From planning the perfect shopping trip, to organizing the most ideal bachelorette party – All within clicks of a button… #VegasYou categorizes the hotels and destinations and then breaks down all the fab things each spot has to offer saving you sanity and of course much needed TIME that would rather be spent TURNING IT UP in VEGAS!!… BUT YAS!! Back to the trip.. I have to say I probably have NEVER laughed more in my entire life on any trip with friends like this! It was a trip of a trip lol!!

The trip started with us all communally giving input on where to stay.. We scoured Expedia.Ca for the hottest hotels we could find and NATURALLY ended up with the SLS Hotel Las Vegas, which ended up being such an amazing choice… Upon arriving to Vegas we checked in and made an instant dash for the lux pool area adorned in chic white cabana’s, day beds & more… It was so fabulous!! Then we made our way up to our beautiful room (see above) that gave us the perfect backdrop for a bunch of the content we would be capturing throughout the week… After we were all settled in we went on a bit of an adventure on the Vegas strip and sat and watched the sunset between and amidst all of the towering towers and of course, went to visit one of my favourite stores in the city, Barneys New York! #SHOPPPPPPPING!!!!!!

On one of the excursions we made a point to go driving out into the middle of Nevada and into the desert where we would eventually capture some of the most iconic must-do moments! We captured some of the coolest pictures I have taken in a while and had such a memorable adventure.. I CAN’T EVEN DENY IT HUNTY!! I WAS AFRAID!! I was NOT trying to get eaten up by no coyotes or scorpions! It was insane!!! You can see more pictures here in my post: Child Of The Desert

We also went to the Neon Museum which is quintessentially the grave yard for all the Las Vegas neon signs that have stood the test of time… At first, I thought how great of a photo op would this be, and it was, but after actually attending and listening, it was SO fascinating to learn about all the history that Vegas really has, all the scandals, the high’s, the lows, the star studded affairs and mobster scares! It was honestly, truly… SO enlightening!!

One of the undeniable highlights of this trip had to be doing a late night fly over Las Vegas.. It’s so crazy how something so grand from the ground can look like toys in a video game from miles up! We went at about 8:00PM when we knew the city would be lit up and the sun would be set.. It was like a dream! If YOU reading this, EVER go to Vegas YOU MUST!! Another moment where I was afraid in the moment but quickly got over it when I was able to let go and appreciate the beauty of what human beings are capable of!!!

ALL IN ALL.. What it comes down to is my CHEAT SHEET TO VEGAS!!! Ready!?!?!?.. Here it is!!! TO EAT: BEAUTY & ESSEX, LAVO, TAO, MR.CHOW <-- (my favourite!!) TO SHOP: WHERE ELSE HONEY!?!?! BARNEYS OF COURSE!!! TO PLAY: OMNIA, LIGHT, SURRENDER, NEON MUSEUM, HELICOPTER RIDE OVER LAS VEGAS.. I know I’m missing one.. Wait.. Vanessa & Christian, if you guys are reading this, what’s the nightclub I was having so much fun at I FLIPPED BACK AND FELL OFF DA COUCH!?!?!? LOL!!! TO LOUNGE: THE SLS LAS VEGAS POOL

CHILD OF THE DESERT

This Vegas trip has been so amazing thus far, I can’t believe we’ve already been here for three days. It feels although it’s been a week! If you have been following me on social media you know that I am on this trip with two of my favourite blogger friends courtesy of Expedia!!! We have been doing such fun and exciting things here like this… We drove out into the desert, without any direction and when we felt we found the right place, we just hopped out of the car and dove right into it… Thus, creating, these magical warm, moody, vintage and dusty feeling moments that I never thought I would capture in a million years!!!! What a time!.. Stay tuned for more!!

ALRIGHT… SO IM HERE IN VEGAS and loving it up, if you didn’t know by now I am here for the blogger Project getting to check out a bunch of cool brands and products and hanging out with some cool people. Vegas is like one of those things you don’t realize just how overwhelming it really is until you’re actually standing right there and being overwhelmed by dudes handing you stripper/strip club trading cards and what not. I love the energy of this city and just how much fun everyone wants to have. Anyways, yes… Yes I did just and yes I am reppin #TEAMTISCI with my Les Plus Dores t-shirt!! I am already waiting on the limited edition SLIMANE to come out so I can get that! Also, in further news, apparently/word on the street is that Supra Footwear pulled/is pulling all of their Skytop II sneakers from the line so if yous see them in a size 8.5 or something, think of me!! 🙂..
