I don’t know what it is about this collection but there is something that just makes me say DOWNTOWN COOL SUPER HERO UBAN GIRL CHIC!?!?!? AM I right or am I just have another wave of delusional thoughts that come and go from the excitement I get every time a Versace collection comes to the runway? This season Versace presented a cool collection featuring a svelte and sleek aesthetic infused with hints of MOD style vibes.. The collection was also accompanied by powerful contrasting colours and luxe textures, all blending perfectly to make this seasons collezione!
E.T. PHONE DONATELLA!!! BECAUSE GIRL we going to space!!!!! “It’s written in the stars – this is the universe of Versace.” — “The Versace man is a pioneer, his ambition as big as the universe. This is a collection for men who are totally real, totally bold and totally connected with the future.” Donatella Versace – There were way to many things I loved about this seasons collection from my beloved Versace family!!! From the cropped shearing and leather jackets, embroidered with patches to symbolize astronaut’s mementos to the MA-1 flight jacket’s – Crystals decorated denim jackets and jeans to embody a constellation of stars. Maybe it’s just me but I do feel like there was a very British feeling and vibe to this collection.. Let’s call it the Alien’s from England, then huh? Needless to say, I loved it and how Versace continues to push the boundaries on the expectations of menswear! Viva Versace!
The other day, I opened the door to a delicious delivery. In this case, delicious to the eyes and closet lol! My lovely family over at Versace sent me over a lovely little gift that is perfect for my upcoming trip to Miami for my third Art Basel, experience. I can’t wait to be back down there and get to experience some amazing art, see all my friends and of course TURN UP in Miami!!! I also can’t wait to debut this new lil beauty! It’s a bit thicker then the chains that I normally am wearing but.. What can I say… “WHEN IN MIAMI!!!!
Developed in joint venture with Enshaa Group – one of the region’s premier developers – Palazzo Versace Dubai, is slated to be the most luxurious hotel the Middle East has ever seen. The interiors imagine the Versace lifestyle through the contemporary eye of Artistic Director Donatella Versace, where everything is opulent. Throughout the design run the iconic motifs of Versace, such as the Medusa head, the Greek Key and the house’s legendary prints, with many designs created exclusively for the Palazzo Versace Dubai…. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT…. Dubai, I think I am definitely ready for you!!!! There will even be 169 residences in this place, just incase you literally never want to leave!!!!!!! This is definitely on my hit-list of places to go when I go to Dubai (whenever that will be lol!)
Versus Versace started this seasons London Fashion Week with a bang! Showcasing their Spring/Summer 2016 collection by the favoured creative director, Anthony Vacarello.. The collection theme was ‘decorated deconstruction. Tough fluidity. The attitude of contrasts’ featuring a strong, urban and playful mood.. A series of hand-drawn prints featuring palms and pineapple evokes the spirit of LA, dotted with iconic Versus Versace elements. Sportiness and energy run through the collection. And then, there is the always grungy chic feeling of the leather pieces with the hardcore hardware featuring the iconic VERSUS logo and lion icon. “Antony has captured the true spirit of Versus Versace. I love how he is pushing the brand that I love forward for a new generation.” Donatella Versace – “Versus Versace is about being bold and playful. Sporty functionality is fun to wear all season long, while deconstruction creates contrast and shows the skin beneath.” Anthony Vaccarello…
“We wanted to show the softer side of Versace.” shared Donatella Versace, explaining the detachment from the normal, extremely fierce, severely sexy and always so strong Versace woman. Not to say this collection was anything short of those assets and elements but there was undeniably something different.. This season, the atelier put together a softer, flowier, more valley girl/coachella-queen/teenage-dream (but obviously still with a killer edge) collection full of soft details, floral appliqués and lace work and some sexy svelte silhouettes while some had a more free spirit and care-free attitude. Needless to say, the collection was another awe-inspiring couture moment for the house!! I totally remember my first couture show! It was Versace Atelier of course, so I know just how much fun and how beautiful the clothing really is! It’s such a spectacle to watch.
Versace is proud to debut its advertising campaign for Fall/Winter 2015, with fresh attitude that is iconic Versace to the core. The women’s campaign stars Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini and Lexi Boling, bringing together the strong and sophisticated side of Versace with the provocative and revolutionary. Primary colours dominate, alongside the introduction of #GREEK, the new Versace motif. The letters of VERSACE playfully decorate clothing, as if remixed by a DJ. The images were shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace, with the models on scaffolding to echo the FW15 catwalk backdrop. “My new campaign is pure Versace, remixed and revolutionised. The power of colour, cut and the new #GREEK motif speak for themselves.” Donatella Versace
“I am so proud of Anthony. His first collection as creative director of Versus Versace is incredible, both revolutionary and the true essence of the house.” said Donatella Versace at the launch of the Versus Versace Fall/Winter 2015 collection in London, England last week… And I couldn’t agree more! When I was in New York for Anthony Vaccarello’s first collection I knew that he was MADE for to make this collection and again this season he showcases just why! Strong military influences, the signature Versus adornment and the strong and cult-status worthy, cool, rock and roll aesthetic! I couldn’t be happier to see another successful collection for Versus with Vaccarello!
