and then THIS

As you know during Paris Men’s Fashion Week I was running around a lot! Hustling, flowing getting it done HUNTIE! I came to WIN!! On my stop-list was the Balmain showroom where I was capturing the menswear show, little did it would end up in me meeting one of my favorite designers for one of, actually read, my favorite design house, Balmain. It was like the Bamain boys finally got connected haha!

some moments from JULIUS FW2014

Here are some dark and intoxicating moments from the Julius Fall/Winter 2014/15 menswear show that I had the pleasure of attending during Paris Men’s Fashion Week a couple weeks ago now (wow hot damn, does time go by ever so quickly!). I loved how just plain out dark and to the bone the show was, the actual show elements for the runway were quite intense from the screeching music to the ever so equally intense strobe lights. It was quite the experience.

BALMAIN Homme Fall/Winter 2014

Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of joining creative director, Olivier Rousteing for an intimate, appointment only, showcase of the Balmain Homme Men’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection at the Balmain offices/showroom here in Paris! The experience in itself was something that I will never forget, considering for me I am so a big #OBSESSEUR of the brand ~That being said, I was really glad to be able to capture menswear and have this initial experience with the house the way that I did ~For Men’s FW14-15 the collection is very Urban TopGun, with the leather jumpsuits, leopard blazers and army prints. There is also a [naturally] very luxurious swag about the collection, one of which let’s you just look at it and KNOW it is exactly what you think it is. To make a long story short I love this kind of menswear, it’s fun, exciting, fresh, luxurious and still so masculine at the same time. It’s the perfect parisian bad boy blend of everything a guy should wear, maybe I should start trying to wear menswear now!? #IfOnlyItWouldFit!!

don’t wait for wings to fly

Paris Fashion Week, on my own at my age, doing what I was doing was such a liberating experience for me and among it all I really learned that waiting for things to happen takes to long. Waiting for things to come to you is to risky. Everyday that I grow, learn and experience more I also learn and realize how proud I am of myself. I have such a ways to go in making my dreams come true and I am definitely aware that it can take a very, very long time, lot’s of heart-ache, lot’s of heart-break but at the end of the day I know that I am not waiting for my wings to fly. I am chasing my dreams, I am pursuing my passions and fulfilling my needs, with every new cultural experience, every person I meet and every moment, wherever it may be, and for this I am blessed! This is just the beginning! There is so much more to do, to see, to experience and to connect with! I can’t wait to share all of the amazing upcoming opportunities and journies around the corner! xo

P A R I S

As it is clearly evident by now, I journeyed over to Paris for the wondrous and magical Paris Fashion Week. Something I had not yet embarked on, so, with little to know idea of what to expect I packed my things and I headed to what would be one of the most magical times of my life. Every single day of this trip was an adventure in its own. From Carine Roitfeld’s CRFashionBook Launch Party for her second book to a day & night with Elie Saab from his show to his beautiful home in Paris… Over the next few days I am really going to do my best to share with you the magic that I got to experience while in Paris for Paris Fashion Week… Hopefully I can do this trip justice, if not, I will just have to go and try again (hahaha)..
