IF you know me then you know I love a good pairing of visuals and music so before we carry on with any reading PLEASE press play on the music video below to set the ambiance!!!! O.k. Now that that is taken care of.. I am SO happy because after all these years of going to Paris I NEVER got to do this.. Such a simple little stop on the way to an event that made me literally the happiest.. I have always wanted to snap some photos at the Palais Royale, in Paris and just see it in real life, feel it with my own eyes and spirit and I finally got to!! Another thing that I am super excited about is the full acknowledgement of really finding my sense of style and look for the new year.. My style has really changed over the years, from frumpy and layery to confused and street chic to now what I call…. a…. very androgynous, sexy leather biker, casual but always cool vibe!!! This trip has been like a dream for me because I’ve been able to do it as the new and current me.. AS the me that is this dark and sleek creature, who loves to wear make up and get glam and who is just a lot more young, wild and free!!!… It’s crazy because the older I’ve got the younger and more liberated I feel.. That I must say is truly a blessing of age, aside from of course knowledge, wisdom and experience but it’s crazy because when I think about it I probably wouldn’t of let those attributes reach me without this new liberation so it all comes down to that!! UGH!! PARIS JUST GOT ME FEELIN MAGICAL!!!!!!!! Stay tuned for more!! Xo Jay

This trip has been like a dream… Being back in my favorite cities and doing what I love to do!! The city been so exciting between getting to see all my favourite places again and also seeing some shows, designers, familiar faces I haven’t seen in years! It’s so good to be back.. Another plus about this trip is the sense of ease that I’ve been able to have courtesy of my CIBC Air Canada AC Conversion Prepaid Visa Card! Whether it’s been on the go, in between shows, before a night on the town or whatever! I have been able to manage my funds and currencies all on one card from wherever I’ve gone.. I am not just saying this but the CIBC Air Canada AC Conversion Prepaid Visa Card has seriously changed my whole travel game.. In the past, I’ve had to bring a certain amount of cash with me and in some cases under-budgeted for the night or the other way around, I over budgeted and literally LOST my money! Can you imagine the nauseating feeling of literally loosing hundreds of dollars with so many more days to go! #UGH.. Yikes right!?.. With the CIBC Air Canada AC Conversion Prepaid Visa Card you are able to reload your funds from an app right on your smartphone or tablet and exchange your Canadian dollars to 10 different currencies (AUD, CHF, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, MXN, USD, TRY & CAD)!!! The way it works is, it locks in foreign exchange rates when you load a currency so you don’t have to worry about fluctuating rates when you travel and you aren’t charged any additional fees when you use the card (excluding ATM fees) – so you’ll know EXACTLY how much you’re spending on every single transaction! Plus, if you ever do need to make an ATM withdrawal, the card will allow one free withdrawal per month, per country. You can use it in 45 countries around the world wherever Visa is accepted, including online!! This card & technology (which comes with chip and pin security, tap-and-pay, and isn’t linked to my personal bank accounts) has really helped manage and budget my funds on the daily and feel secure while here in Paris which has made the trip that much better!! If anything ever happens to the card, or if I lost it for example, it comes with an emergency card replacement service, emergency cash service and protection from unauthorized use, so I know I’m covered and will still have access to cash when I need it. Oh, and did I mention? It’s free! Or $15 if you want it couriered to you. That all said… I have so much more to share from this beautiful trip so STAY tuned as there is much much more to come!!! XOXO BISOUS JAY

So… I have a question for you…. Have you ever wondered what it is like to have enough CHANEL around you and readily available for you to play with that it made you slightly light headed!?!? Well… LISTEN UP & LOOK NO MORE HUNNIE because do I have something for you!.. I did Paris Fashion Week as a guest of Chanel for a super amazing project where 6 bloggers from around the world were selected to DISCOVER the world of CHANEL. For day 1 of my unbelievable experience with CHANEL here in Paris, I was given a tour of the new Avenue Montaigne boutiques (right across the street from each other). One boutique, number 42, is specifically made for accessories and jewelry while the other, number 51, carries the pret-a-porter, fragrance, beauty & some accessories as well. It was such a pleasure to learn about the details of the boutiques, how they vary but still stay the same and the incredible details that go into them as well, from the art (even in the elevator) to the architecture and the inspiration all thriving from Mademoiselle Chanel, herself. After this lovely tour we were escorted to the private change rooms on the top floor of 51 Avenue Montaigne where we were greeted by a humongous fitting room filled from wall to wall with EVERYTHING classic, iconic and new from Chanel. It’s here where I had the chance to not only play with some of the most iconic Chanel clothing, accessories, jewelry, bags, etc. I was also lucky enough to select some pieces to wear for the show the following day.. What a dream right?!?!… And to believe, this was only day 1!!

Just another stunning Parisienne night, stumbling on the cobblestones from L’Avenue on Rue François. Then coincidentally stumbling across those same cobblestones to le’ boutique who so happen to be wearing = THIS situation right here outside of the Balmain boutique on 44 Rue François. As if you didn’t know that THIS was was bound to happen at some point during the days in Paris…

As you know during Paris Men’s Fashion Week I was running around a lot! Hustling, flowing getting it done HUNTIE! I came to WIN!! On my stop-list was the Balmain showroom where I was capturing the menswear show, little did it would end up in me meeting one of my favorite designers for one of, actually read, my favorite design house, Balmain. It was like the Bamain boys finally got connected haha!

Here are just a couple moments from my first ever couture experience while in Paris last week during Men’s and Couture shows! What an experience it was to be able to walk into such a beautiful venue and not know what to expect! The Versace couture show was nothing one would of expected, it was glamorous, gorgeous, elegant and still SO SO VERSACE! The energy was there, the ambience and the design. What a wonderful introduction to the world of couture for me! I am still in shock that at 22 I got to go to my first couture shows in Paris!!

One major moment I apologize for missing and leaving out from Paris Fashion Week was meeting Riccardo Tisci at Carine’s CRFashionBook Party at the Shangri-La Paris. It was such a pleasure to you know, well, meet Riccardo in real life! It’s funny because to me, designers are my celebrities, and it doesn’t matter who is in the room, I have serious designer tunnel vision. Especially ones that inspire you and your wardrobe. It was such a pleasure meeting xx

Paris Fashion Week, on my own at my age, doing what I was doing was such a liberating experience for me and among it all I really learned that waiting for things to happen takes to long. Waiting for things to come to you is to risky. Everyday that I grow, learn and experience more I also learn and realize how proud I am of myself. I have such a ways to go in making my dreams come true and I am definitely aware that it can take a very, very long time, lot’s of heart-ache, lot’s of heart-break but at the end of the day I know that I am not waiting for my wings to fly. I am chasing my dreams, I am pursuing my passions and fulfilling my needs, with every new cultural experience, every person I meet and every moment, wherever it may be, and for this I am blessed! This is just the beginning! There is so much more to do, to see, to experience and to connect with! I can’t wait to share all of the amazing upcoming opportunities and journies around the corner! xo
