“You can have a girl jump around and have everything beautiful, or you can choose to tell a human story that highlights someone you love,” told Brandon Maxwell about his Spring 2017 campaign.. And that this did, literally hooked my eyes to the screen from that beginning March on the Detroit streets to the closing of the divider at the end… Designer, Brandon Maxwell enlisted his close friend and muse Riley Montana to share a glimpse of her self showcasing her Detroit roots.. Captured by filmmaker Jessy Price the eye-opening mini fashion film showcases not only the humble roots of a fashion power’s muse but of course also the gorgeous clothing of designer Brandon Maxwell’s Spring 2017 collection… Enjoy
The brand who just ruled the men’s fashion week in New York has dropped their newest ad-campaign for their Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Looking like a scene from a new/up-coming Matrix Movie.. ‘Matrix: Public School Revolution’ lol! The campaign was Shot by Greg Harris and starring Karolin Wolter and Sam Worthen. The clothes feature a 90’s Voguing inspiration [YASSSS QUEEEEN!!!] so I guess that explains the thought process behind the campaign, which I must say is a far detach from what I would of expected for them, something on the street, or super clean and simple… “I guess, subconsciously, we maybe try to get away from what people may think about what Public School is,” says Maxwell Osborne, co-founder and co-creative director for Public School! Balmain just launched their new #SISTERACT sibling themed campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti under creative direction of Pascal Dangin. The campaign features siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Joan and Erika Smalls, Bela and Gigi Hadid and Armando and Fernardo Cabral…. “This season’s Balmain campaign was inspired by a brief, key moment that happened while we were shooting our last campaign,” Rousteing explains, “While I watched Mario capture a kiss last fall, I was struck by the love and emotion that I was witnessing in front of me. Starting with a determination to once again focus on the beauty of an intimate connection, my team and I quickly concluded that a celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings is a natural progression from the spirit of last season.”
Versace is proud to debut its advertising campaign for Fall/Winter 2015, with fresh attitude that is iconic Versace to the core. The women’s campaign stars Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini and Lexi Boling, bringing together the strong and sophisticated side of Versace with the provocative and revolutionary. Primary colours dominate, alongside the introduction of #GREEK, the new Versace motif. The letters of VERSACE playfully decorate clothing, as if remixed by a DJ. The images were shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace, with the models on scaffolding to echo the FW15 catwalk backdrop. “My new campaign is pure Versace, remixed and revolutionised. The power of colour, cut and the new #GREEK motif speak for themselves.” Donatella Versace

For Spring 2015, 3.1. Phillip Lim takes a new direction astray from the traditional advertising campaign style. For the coming season the brand has created a campaign comprised of a series of images aptly titled ‘Romancing Reality’ with celebrated artist Viviane Sassen. The only briefing for this campaign was to create images that viewers want to live with, in their homes or studio. Images which are able to live beyond the confines of a traditional advertising campaign. See more below.
Shot on location in Marrakech – the brand takes a brave step by asking to be invited into Viviane’s creative process – no Hairstylist, no Make-up and no traditional production the campaign allowed Viviane to create art the way she would in her personal work and the results are a series of images which reflect beautifully the brands notion of Romancing Reality – something which is at the core of 3.1 Phillip Lim’s approach to design.
Mind BLOWN! In the best way possible of course. I am literally shaking in my boots because I am beyond bowing down to this Spring/Summer 2015 menswear advertising campaign photographed by Mario Sorrenti, art directed by Pascal Dangin and starring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. I think this is absolutely amazing in more ways then one (as you can imagine) and am glad that with Olivier this goes beyond the clothes as it does for me as well.. “For this Menswear campaign, I wanted to capture a moment of love. Kim and Kanye are style icons and friends. It is an honour to have them in this Balmain campaign. Together, they represent love, beauty and diversity—they are the new modernity. This is more than a campaign, it expresses something beyond clothes—it is a celebration of love and friendship. This is a new statement for Balmain.” says head of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing – No lie, I kind of new this was coming, I definitely expected it in my skin and bones at some point and boy am I ever excited to be able to witness it! I absolutely love this.
