It’s show time!!!!!!!!! Let’s check it out
Hey guys! I am so excited to be teaming up with Balmain to be one of the exclusive streamers for the Men’s Spring/Summer 2016 runway show. A first considering Balmain has only done presentations for the menswear collection’s to date. How freakin’ exciting is this! The show will stream June 27th at 11:00AM EST / 5:00PM CET – So stay tuned!
When it comes to menswear, you know who always get’s my love! My boy, Olivier Rousteing, always knows how to do it and this year was nothing less! Him and his muse for the evening, Justin Bieber, both rocked some custom Balmain Homme Fall/Winter 2015 looks as they attended the 2015 ‘China: Through The Looking Glass’ Costume Institute Gala At The Metropolitan Museum Of Art! A couple of the best dressed boys no doubt!
Here are your first looks at the Balmain Homme Fall/Winter 2015 mens collection. I of course love the luxurious textures and the use of the crystal and embroideries. Something new and interesting this season are the extreme proportions Olivier infused into the silhouettes of the mens collection. From the Samurai style pants to the extra long blazers. I also love the new lengthy coats, especially the velvet one with the embroidered cuffs – it’s so luxurious #HOTDAYM!.. Anyways, continue reading to see more of the collection and read Olivier Rousteing’s method behind the madness and inspiration for the collection.
For this collection, I was inspired by how I’m seeing today’s new generation dress for the evening. In all parts of the world—from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, with stops in Paris, London, Dubai and the other traditional and rising fashion capitals along the way — I’ve been noticing what you could call the evolution of the ‘new aristocrats.’
Unlike traditional aristocrats, this diverse and inclusive grouping of stylish men knows how to confidently blend together looks pulled from both their fathers’ wardrobes and the streets. For Fall 2015, I’m channeling their energy and referencing that new creative mix made up of perfect doses of classic pieces, fluid silhouettes and hip-hop stylings. It’s a spirit that seems right for my generation and a style that I feel comfortable calling my own.
