Debuting at the Spring-Summer 2017 Ready-to-Wear show, the Chanel GABRIELLE bag is a ‘mischievous wink to Gabrielle Chanel’. Karl Lagerfeld wanted it to have the same aesthetic and practical spirit in that blend of strength and elegance that characterises CHANEL handbags. Fitted on a rigid thermoformed base, the main body of the bag is extremely light and ultra-supple: this contrasting structure gives it perfect stability and makes finding belongings effortless. In tune with a continuing search for comfort advocated by the founder of the House, it hugs the silhouette, moving with the gait and never hindering it. Its adjustable strap comes with a double chain woven from leather and golden and silver metal. A highly original detail permitting several ways of wearing it: over the shoulder, across the body or both at the same time, with the chain going over one shoulder and then diagonally across the other.  Here is your first look at the bag via a sketch by Karl Lagerfeld, himself! Also, Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams, all CHANEL ambassadors, along with Cara Delevingne, a friend of the House, to embody CHANEL’s GABRIELLE bag.

So… if you’ve seen on social media the last few weeks then you will (for the most part) know or have an idea that early December, I flew back early from Art Basel, in Miami because I got a magical little call that my amazing friends at Hermes Bloor St. in Toronto had something very special waiting for me.. So… I got on a flight home and went straight to the Hermes store where I would find this beauty sitting pretty! I am so excited to share my very first Hermes Kelly bag and more so, as I see it, I am so excited to share another milestone for me.. I don’t know if you remember but a couple years back I got myself my Cartier Love Bracelet as a 1 year milestone for taking my blog seriously and doing it as it’s own entity for one year.. Now I celebrate a new achievement and feeling of freedom, prosperity and especially hard-work by acquiring this new lovely piece… Not only is it this milestone, but of course a bag of this caliber has always been something of dream to me so I have acquired this amazing dream bag!! I am always so excited to find an excuse to wear my new bag and funnily enough, fell in love with the dark and deep tone of the navy. I thought I would only ever want black especially because it’s such a safe thing for me to do for such an intense purchase but I actually really like that the navy challenges me and my style and is actually a nice contrast against my regularly black wardrobe… It’s so cool that this ‘bleu nuit’ colour actually changes with it’s environment, some lighting it’s completely black, some it’s bluer then ever and then some times it’s a smokey dark dark grey. LOVEEEEE IT!!!!!

At first I was a little skeptical of an even smaller then regular PS11 but the more and more I am seeing this wonderful little bag on very stylish people the more I am feeling inclined to obsess that much more over it. That being said here it is in a lovely army print now on sale at SSENSE ~ Oh how I miss my black PS11 that was lost somewhere in this forsaken-city.

I’ve been kinda obsessing over the classic style and shape of this Saint Laurent Black Leather Duffle Bag – I have seen it a few times now on some fashionable folk and it continues to grow on me more and more! Even in the colored versions. I just like the overall aesthetic of it, very clean, very minimal, very Saint Laurent and I have to say very timeless and the perfect counterpart to my psycho summery chopped and screwed Summer looks lol! I mean, this could be the perfect match for my ripped denim and Dr. Marten’s 24/7 look!

It is always such a treat to be able, even if only on video, to see what Anya Hinmarch plans for her whimsical, super creative and fun fashion presentations during London Fashion Week. For Fall/Winter 2013, Anya Hindmarch was inspired by the clean graphics and colour combinations of board games.. She says “I have worked with leather inlay techniques and used a combination of French goatskin, calf, shagreen and butter soft skins. I also played with the art of tassel making for a modern take on last season’s 18th Century tassel”..

Key families include; the Albion, a group of clean, structured styles in which the leather is sealed without the need for stitching giving a graphic, modern line, the Bathurst, in both solid and dual colours completed with cross body contrast straps, and the Duke and Duchess, elegant evening clutches with contrasting coloured shagreen inlays replicating backgammon boards and domino pieces. A colour palette of medium grey, burgundy, red, dark holly and navy is accentuated by pops of white, sorbet pink, light blue, gold and pewter. Anya’s trademark tassels have been reworked in oversized forms to accessorise her bags with a cascade of colour.

Kate Moss was spotted around London this past week with her Betty bag from Saint Laurent Paris

Aside from the spectacular clothing (Kate, is also wearing a jacket by SL) the accessories division of the new Saint Laurent under creative direction of Monsieur Hedi Slimane are very, very attractive! I first noticed the jewelry, bracelets, etc and now am growing a strong admiration for the handbags, totes and etc. The Betty Bag is a simple single chain shoulder bag that is really chic and clean (but what would you expect from SL?).

One of my favorite, if not MY FAVORITE [read: YES MY FAVORITE] design house BALMAIN, recently launched their new ‘Le Pierre’ handbag. It’s a simple, classic shaped, slouchy and suede handbag with, ready for this, A SHOULDER STRAP! And not to mention, it’s already a fashion icon, being seen on the likes of Kristen McMenamy, Eddie Campbell & more. I think that this is a great city bag for everyday and even travel. On a serious note, you don’t know how many times I wonder why more bags don’t have that little strap that makes everything in the world that much more shiny, beautiful and convenient. Balmain’s ‘Le Pierre’ retails for $4,350 and and is currently available for purchase exclusively at Barney’s NY in the US, Harrod’s in the UK, and the Balmain boutique in Paris, France.

Givenchy Antigona Bag

I rarely have legit bag obsessions, I mean, I fall in love here and there, but to be so attracted to something that you swear you were wearing it on a magical date in one of your dreams the other night, is far beyond any little, quick infatuation, honey. At first I didn’t pay much attention to this bag but as time progressed, my style became that much more minimal I slowly began [read: begin, because this emotion is currently happening] to appreciate the sleek design and clean lines more and more. It’s a great season round bag and with that shoulder strap, it definitely fits the niche for fashion and function. LOVE!
